Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif ’s Jagga Jasoos has garnered mixed response from the audience as well as the critics. The film which is touted to be a musical did not appeal to the masses. There are not many fantasy films that are made in the Indian film industry. Anurag Basu attempted it with Jagga Jasoos but, the kind of response that was expected did not come across and the numbers are seen dipping day by day.
The film made Rs. 8.57 crores on its opening day and the biz increased during the weekend with Rs. 11.53 crores on Saturday and Rs. 13.07 crores on Sunday. The movie dropped on Monday with raking in Rs. 4.05 crores, further Rs. 3.48 crores on Tuesday and Rs. 3.05 crores on Wednesday. Hence, the total box-office collection stands at Rs. 43.75 crores at the domestic front. The drastic drop in collections is not a good sign for the makers citing its heavy making cost.
This film has been Ranbir Kapoor ’s first production venture which he co-produced with Anurag Basu and others. The movie has around 29 songs composed by Pritam. Jagga Jasoos is presented by Walt Disney Pictures!
