Yashpal Sharma is an Indian actor born on 1st January 1967 in a lower middleclass family of Hisar, Haryana. Though his childhood days were not at all glittery, still it did not stop him from dreaming big of entering into the glamorous world of Bollywood someday. He used to actively participate in Ramleela held during the Dashera festival in his village. Following his passion, he got graduated from the National School of Drama in New Delhi.
After his graduation, Yashpal was part of the National School of Drama Repertory Company in Delhi for two years before moving his base to Mumbai. Here he got his first break with Govind Nihalani's 'Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa', alongside the eminent actors like Jaya Bhaduri, Anupam Kher and Nandita Das. His next step was into the commercial cinemas with the movies like 'Shool', 'Arjun Pandit', 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi', 'Lagaan' and 'Ab Tak Chhappan'.
Yashpal is mostly casted in the villainous role because of his rugged personality. His stage performer background has helped him a lot to bring the real life features to a reel character.
