Deepika Padukone, who was a jury member this year, had many opportunities to show off her sartorial choices on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival, which is one of the most spectacular in the world. At the closing ceremony of this year's Cannes Film Festival on Saturday, the Piku (2015) actress made the most of her last leg of the event.
The 36-year-old actress donned an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla ruffled white saree at the closing ceremony. She completed her look with a gorgeous pearl necklace. Her contoured cheeks and kohl rimmed eyes completed the look.
Deepika Padukone has been a regular at the Cannes Film Festival since 2017, but this year is different because she is a jury member. She spoke in an interview about her time on the Cannes jury, saying, “It makes me sit back and think sometimes maybe I’ve not given myself enough credit. And that’s okay too, because, I don’t want to be feeling like, like this huge achievement or whatever. If I’ve landed here today, without even realizing it, I must be doing something right. And therefore, I don’t want to think too much about what led me to come here.”
Besides Deepika Padukone, several other Indian film stars walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. Among those who walked the red carpet were Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Pooja Hegde, Urvashi Rautela, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, R Madhavan, Hina Khan, and Aditi Rao Hydari.
