
Marvel Studios switches release dates of Ant-Man 3 & The Marvels
Marvel Studios has decided to swap the release dates as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has wrapped up filming while The Marvels is still under production.
A major development has taken place in the release dates of two of the Marvel Studios’ most-awaited Hollywood films of 2023. The leading studio has decided to swap the theatrical release dates of The Marvels and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
A sequel to Marvel Studios’ 2019 blockbuster Captain Marvel, The Marvels was set to hit the marquee on February 17, 2023. The film will now arrive in cinemas on July 23, 2023, a date Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania had locked to hit theatres. The third film in the Ant-Man series will find its way into cinemas on February 17.
A leading international publication reports that the decision was made as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has wrapped up filming while The Marvels is still under production.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is expected to take forward the multiverse storyline launched with the 2021 Disney+ series Loki, which starred Jonathan Majors as He Who Remains, whose death creates the multiverse in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Majors will essay the role of the main villain and a variant of his“Loki character, Kang the Conqueror in the upcoming film.
The Marvels boasts Brie Larson as superhero Captain Marvel. The film is directed by Nia DaCosta.
