Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Marvel star actor Anthony Mackie's action-thriller titled Ending Things has reportedly been selected by Amazon. The duo, who are collaborating for the first time, will be playing the leads in the film that has been described as something similar to James Cameron’s 1994 action-comedy True Lies.
The film is about a hitwoman (presumably Priyanka) who wishes to be out of the evil business, but that implies sabotaging her relationship with her partner (likely played by Mackie) as well. Meanwhile, she realizes that she doesn’t want to leave him and later they come together for one last job.
On the work front, Priyanka was last seen in a supporting role of Sati in The Matrix Resurrections, the fourth film in the franchise. She will next lead the romantic drama Text for You opposite Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. She will also star alongside Richard Madden in Amazon Prime Video's thriller series Citadel and as the spiritual guru Ma Anand Sheela in Barry Levinson's Sheela, a film she will produce for Amazon Studios.
The Barfi! (2012) actress has committed to star alongside Mindy Kaling in a comedy about an Indian-American wedding under Universal Pictures and will also appear in the action film Cowboy Ninja Viking opposite Chris Pratt. Back home in Bollywood, PC will star in Farhan Akhtar's directorial Jee Le Zaraa alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, which is set for a release in 2023.
On the other hand, Mackie was last seen in psychological thriller The Woman in the Window and anthology series Solos. He is all set to play the role of Captain America in the fourth film in the franchise.
