Shakira SHOUTS And Sits Up As Rat SCURRYING Near Her Head During Shoot Of Music Video (Watch Video)

On July 26, Shakira disclosed that she had a close call with a rat while making the music video for her brand-new song, 'Copa Vaca.' The 46-year-old 'Hips Don't Lie' diva posted a video to her Instagram page in which she can be seen sleeping on a trash heap while wearing a mermaid costume. She has pink hair.

As Shakira looks up, the camera cuts to the rat scurrying over to her. She screams and gets to her feet. She has left her hair extensions behind. The video's caption reads, “Cosas que le pasan hasta a las sirenas,” Meaning: “Things that happen even to mermaids.”

The music video ‘The fish tank broke’ tells the tale of a mermaid who is taken from her ocean and put in an exhibit tank. Manuel Turizo, a Colombian singer, is also featured in the video. Shakira earlier recounted the difficulty she had exiting the tank. The crew of the production had to eventually save her.

“The fish tank broke, the set began to flood and they had to take me out of there. I couldn’t go out because I had a mermaid tail, and I couldn’t climb out” said Shakira to Hola.

The singer said that a crane eventually removed her. “Every man for himself,” Shakira mentioned. “Good thing it was just an anecdote, and I’m here to tell it.” Shakira recalls Manuel, age 23, telling her the tank would burst.

Shakira said, “He had told me that the fish tank would break, I thought it was impossible, believing we had impeccable safety standards. But, to my surprise, his prediction came true.”
