Ishrat Ali began his career in Bollywood as a spot boy on the sets of Jaan Se Pyaara (1992). He soon began to work in supporting roles in films like Aa Gale Lag Jaa (1994), Judwaa (1997), Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) and Sarkar (2005).
In 2009, Ali will be part of the horror flick Agyaat and a Telugu film Adavi which is a thriller.
