Critic Reviews
One Line Review : Not dazzling like 1920. Story : Smruti, young violin teacher, (Tia Bajpai) is kept captivated in a bungalow by an evil spirit. The spirit doesn't allow her to go outside. One-well wisher (servant) brings a mirror from Shani temple which helps her go out. On the other hand, we see that Jaidev, renowned poet, (Aftab Shivdasani) lives in huge palace with his sister Karuna (Vidya Malavade). He is addicted to alcohol because his lover was dead. One day when Jaidev goes out to get inspiration from nature to write his poet, he finds Smruti unconscious in a lake. He brings her home and helps her gain her lost memory, who has forgotten everything except his poems. She remembered his poems because she was the girl who loved him, but Jaidev was unaware that the girl who he loved was she! This was because his friend Amar had cheated him and his girlfriend. Actually, Amar was jealous of him for some reason. So he had made plan to give him pain. He deceived to his sister that he loved her. He also met Smruti and told her that he was Jaidev. Smriti believed him to be Jaidev because she had never seen him. On the other hand, he sent message to Jaidev that his lover had died. What are the incidents they face? How would they get rid of the evil? All such queries are answered in the remaining part of the film. Performance : Aftab's acting is average. However, Tia's work is good. Her expressions look natural. Script : It is written by Vikram Bhatt that is not impressive like his previous movie 1920. Its screenplay is illogical and scenes are repeated (which he has already shown you in his previous films 1920). The scripts lacks grip. This film may well for them who didn't watch '1920.' But it would not appear fresh or hooking for them who have watched '1920' because most of the old scenes are modified and are just presented in a different way in this film. This film also fails to scare you like 'Raaz 3.' Music : Nothing worth to mention here! Direction : Bhusan Patel's direction is average. He fails to justify many scenes such as how Smruti was kept captive in a bungalow. Plus Points : Beautiful Sweden locations. Minus Points : Same old story; Illogical story; Predictable horror scenes Conclusion : This film may well for them who did not watch '1920.' But it would not appear fresh or hooking for them who have watched '1920' because most of the old scenes are modified and are just presented in a different way in this film. This film also fails to scare you like 'Raaz 3.' Verdict : If you want to refresh your memory of 1920, you can go for it! It's a one-time watch!
