Plot

Dance is not only Vishnu's (Prabhudeva) passion but also his life. His life takes an unfortunately unprecedented turn when he is thrown out of his own dance academy by his business partner. This forces the heart broken Vishnu to give up dance and leave Mumbai. However, before he departs, he notices a group of dancers who are to participate in Ganpati Dance Battle, an annual dance fest where several dance groups in the city compete against each other. Their amazing talent brings Vishnu to a point where he decides to help this group to overcome its set of drawbacks and become India's best dance group.

One Line Review: If you are a die-hard fan of dance and want to see your favorite dancers gracing the big screen then you may grab the 3D glasses and visit your nearest theatre. Positive Points: The theme-Dance; super magical dance performances; the acting of dancers. Negative Points: 3D effect; the story; a repeated plot which is poorly executed Plot: The story is based on a dancer Vishnu (Prabhu Deva), co-founder of the 'Jahangir Dance Company' (JDC) where he served for many years. He is shown the doors by his cruel partner Jahangir Khan (Kay Kay Menon). Vishnu decides to give up dancing and to go Chennai. But before that, fortunately, he comes across a bunch of exceptionally talented youngsters from the slum area of Mumbai in a Ganpati dance battle. Seeing the fire in them Vishnu gets illuminated to train them and prepare them to stand against the JDC's. The youngsters have some difference between them as they are already divided into two separate groups. This sometimes brings out the battle in the groups. Also Dance is the only thing where the group can be together without a clash. Will Vishnu ever succeed to unite the two groups? Will Vishnu's group be able to stand against the trained JDC group? Direction And Other Technical Aspects: Remo D'Souza whose first attempt was 'F.A.L.T.U' has done an okay job. Some dance scenes are a treat for our eyes. The film is bearable in its first half, but the second half deviates from the theme, pouring into some emotional drama. Performance: Kay Kay Menon, like always get into the niche of character.Prabhu Deva's poor proficiency in Hindi is clearly noticeable. Dancer Dharmesh Yelande gives us a delightful surprise with his splendid acting skills.Ganesh Acharya plays his part well. Music: The music of the movie is something to cheer about with dancing beats to groove on. Final Verdict: You may only go to the theatres to enjoy the soundtracks and dances of ace dancers.
