A well-intended sawach-aur-saaf-suthri comedy Badmaashiyaan is a curiously content-driven rom-com with one of the most consistently wicked female protagonists I've seen in recent cinema from Bollywood or Hollywood. Unlike the over-praised Dolly Ki Doli where Sonam Kapoor was hailed as a new-age heroine for conning her way through multiple marriages, newcomer Suzanna Mukherjee ironically named Naari in Badmaashiyaan,is unabashedly moral, money-minded to the point of being vulgar in her avarice.

Bollywood with its plethora of romantic comedies has time and again attracted audience owing to the perfect blend of humour and love. While many struggling actors rose to fame with this genre, let's take a look if BADMASHIYAAN, with its relatively fresh cast, manages to live upto those expectations. For a fact, BADMASHIYAAN can probably be the reverse of the Yash Raj rom-com LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL. A con girl and her three lovers! Set in Chandigarh, Naari (Suzanna Mukherjee), is a sexy and trendy girl whose sole aim is to make easy money and in process she cons every man who comes her way. Dev (Sidhant Gupta) falls head over heels to the charm of Naari and in the process takes money from the bank to buy a big house for her.

Badmashiyaan does not have any real plot to tell so it crams the script with numerous characters, who enter and leave at will, warns Sukanya Verma. A preening couple sitting amidst fake floral arrangements assumes that their love story deserves an account. A Haryanvi baritone takes control of the voiceover to follow.

Naari is a con girl who dates men and runs with their money. This is another Dolly Ki Doli. In a town like Chandigarh, Naari cons rich men with her broken heels and designer dresses. There are multiple stories running side by side. It all comes down to one thing, all are situational love stories and none of them actually intetrests you.
