Janardhan's mother is the lucky one in the opening scene as she gets her chance to pour her heart out to the 'baba'. She tells him that her son, who is in Bangkok, has not answered her calls nor visited her. Difficult to believe that Janardhan aka Johnny would do that to his mother, because he is quite a grounded lad.

Run Lola Run and Sliding Doors are two movies from the West that employed a theme of multiple timelines. So you have the same character in the same situation but the way the story moves forward differs over the two timelines. In Bhaag Johnny you have the protagonist going through two distinct renditions of the same story. One where he commits a crime and the other where he abstains from murder. It's not every day that you get such an experimental subject in Hindi films.

There comes a time in your life when you have to choose between a road less travelled and a road you should definitely not take. With Bhaag Johnny it's the latter. As soon as the film starts, poor cinematography and shaky camera shots pave the way for an impressive Kunal Khemu and less expressive Zoa Morani. Shot on the format of parallel storytelling, the film is all about Johnny's whims and fancies granted by a Genie (Vikram Bhatt).

Bangkok based Janardan Arora aka Johnny (Kunal Kemmu) indulges in a treacherous activity at work that's noticed by his boss Ramona Bakshi (Manasi Scott). She soon starts blackmailing him. She warns him that if he does not kill Tanya (Zoa Morani) she'll expose his fraudulent transactions and get him arrested. This makes Johnny's life miserable.

A unique concept does not necessarily make a good film. Kunal Kemmu and Zoa Morani starrer Bhaag Johnny falls tragically short of being the zany, fast-paced and gritty thriller it aspires to be. Directed by Shivam Nair, Bhaag Johnny opens with Kemmu's titular character being blackmailed by his cougar boss Ramona (Manasi Scott) into killing a girl he's never met in his life.

Janardan Arora aka Johnny (Kunal Kemmu) is a Casanova who is happy with his life until his boss, Ramona Bakshi (Manasi Scott) forces him to become a contract killer for her, in exchange of not reporting his illegal insider trading activities. Ramona sends him off for three days to Pattaya to kill Tanya (Zoa Morani).
