Earning bread of honor in the skirts of Rajasthan, Deepak (Rajkummar Rao) is forced to move to Mumbai when poverty stamps his belly. Bag-packed along with wife Rashmi (Patralekha) and their daughter, Deepak now leads a tough task to settle his roof in the dream land. Facing hell lot of nuisance, Deepak and Rashmi eventually settle down to earn a living by sheltering themselves in an under construction building. With Deepak getting on rail by serving his best at a security agency as a driver, Rashmi too adds a helping hand by shaking a leg at the dance bar. Viewing their life getting back to normal, soon the happy moment gets cursed as Deepak's superior (Manav Kaul) jots down a plan to rob the agency and asks Deepak to be his aid. Declining his participation, Deepak later finds himself trapped in to the mess. With just a bite away, the couples dream to lead a decent life starves as Deepak rolls down the crime path.
