Storyline
The film revolves around a Hindu priest Pandit Chaturvedi, who is one of the highly respected priests of Varanasi. One day, his daughter brings an abandoned infant to his home. Reluctant initially to keep the infant at home, the priest finally agrees to it. For good reasons, his wife fakes the infant as a Brahmin. The story turns upside down, when the priest comes to know that the infant is not a Brahman.

Pundit Chaturvedi, a Hindu Priest fastidiously practices his religion. One day, a child comes into his life. He adopts him and names him Kartikey. The priest's life is filled with joy, till the day Pandit Chaturvedi is forced by religion to turn Kartikey away.. The 4 years old child challenges the very core of the priest's belief.
