Plot

Navin  and Nandini are about to get married but all of a sudden a disaster strikes which shatters down their dreams. Navin and his friends, an immensely overweight Sudeep and Yash, go out to have fun. But on the highway an accident takes place  and Navin gets dead.

Thereafter, Navin wakes up in heaven and to his horror comes to know that it was an error of their clerical team which had sent him in the heaven before time. Actually, the person who was destined to be in heaven was fat Sudeep with his cholesterol on overdrive! Knowing this, Navin creates a scene in the overcrowded waiting room of heaven and he asks them that he should be sent on the earth, where his loved ones lived.

Thus, this movie is about how Navin gets back to earth and thereafter how he has to persuade Nandini all over again in disguising himself as someone else.

Thus it is a pleasant take on love, life, romance and the special accident of death.

FATSO is a Hindi feature film which was supposed to release in 2011 but its release extended due to some reasons and released on 4th May, 2012. It has been produced under the banner of Pritish Nandy Communications which falls in the genre of comedy and is directed by Rajat Kapoor. Story : This is a film of comedy of errors. Naveen (Purab Kohli) loves Nandini (Gul Panag). One day three friends are going out when they meet an accident and Naveen dies. Actually, it was Sudeep (Ranbir Sorey), the fat fellow who had to die but the Yamraj picked Naveen instead of Sudeep. Eventually, Naveen's body goes through last rituals, funerals etc. and his body is lit on pyres. But it was not he who had to die so he has to return back and since his body was burnt to ashes, he had only one option left and that was to get into Sudeep's body because he had to die. So what happens when Naveen enters into the body of Sudeep? What is the reaction of Nandini? Does she come to know the truth? What happens when the truth is revealed? All such answers are given in the rest of the movie. Acting : Ranbir Shorey is excellent in his role. He has completely justified his character. Purab Kohli is average and so is Gul Panag. Nothing extraordinary about her! Script : The script is unconvincing and there are many loopholes in its screenplay. Dialogues are average. Music : Below the mark! Direction : Rajat Kapoor has tried to make you smile and laugh but with wrong plot. You get irritated at many places instead of smiling. The direction is well but script weakens the strength of the direction. Even the acting is good but script is loose and hence doesn't make any sense. Conclusion : All the actors in this film and the director have tried to present a comedy film but fail to do so due to a proper plot and tight script. Even though there isn't any film as its competitor this week, it would be very difficult for this film to survive at the box office and may only run for a couple of days. Big names are linked with its script but that hardly impress you. Plus Points : Acting Minus Points : Unconvincing Plot & Music Verdict : Not a bad film but you can skip it and wait for its satellite release.
