GANDHI TO HITLER is a Hindi feature film produced by Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma and directed by director Rakesh Ranjan Kumar which released on 29th July, 2011.Story : This film is set in the year 1939. It was a period when the world war was plagued with unrest and uproar. Hiter was expanding his army using all his cruel means to rule other countries of the world.Mahatma Gandhi in India was fighting with the British following non-violence ways to free India from the clutches and atrocities of the British.Knowing about the cruel aspirations of Adolf Hitler, Mahatma Gandhi wrote letter to him asking him to alter his ambition of ruling the world. But Hitler hardly paid any heed to Mahatma's letter which made Mahatma Gandhi to write another later after sometime and this time warning him the dire consequence he would have to face if he didn't stop what he was doing.When World War 2 came to an end, Hitler started losing his hold; not only on outsiders but also who were insiders. This was a time when he could only trust his beloved Eva Barun (NehaDhupia).This film shows what Gandhiji and Hitler were doing at that historical period.Performance : Raghuvir Yadav plays the role of Hitler which is average. First time you could see Hitler speaking Hindi!Neha Dhupia fits into the role of Hitler's girlfriend and has justified her role.Dutt in the role of Gandhiji is okay.Script : It is near about average. More research were needed in this regard.Direction : It is the first film of Rakesh Ranjan and he could not do very well. You can't meddle with true facts and events in your own way. There are many loop holes in the film.Plus Pint: It is made with good intention and the writer director attempted to do something different.Conclusion : As the name suggests, it's a historical film which tries to show segment of two famous/in-famous personalities of the world of their time. Mahatma Gandhi was famous for his non-violence policies whereas Adolf Hitler was in-famous for his brutality and aspiration of ruling the world. But many people know these events and about Mahatma Gandhi & Hitler so they would hardly find anything new in this film.Verdict : If you are curious to watch Raghuvir Yadav in the role of Hitler and Dutt in the role of Gandhiji, and want to see some scenes of that time picturised (though not properly), go for it.
