A rich and vicious landlord stabs a poor farmer in the back by first heeding the latter's fervent pleas for his (landlord's) brother's hand in marriage to the former's sister, but killing the farmer and his wife on the same day of the marriage. Before that the landlord gets the farmer to transfer the land on his own name. The farmer, before dying gives his two sons in the custody of his sister and asks her sister to get them married to the landlord's daughter only when they grow up. The intention is to make the landlord plead for the marriages of the girls of his family. How the two sons, seperated in childhood, fulfil their fathers last dream forms the dramatic part of the film.
