Ganga (Govinda) is pure, moralistic & untouched by the realities of life beyond his village - his 'desh'... He lives happily with his indulgent shepherd father (Shivaji Satam) & doting mother, (Reema Lagoo). Sawari (Sonali Bendre) a pretty village belle, sees in him the man of her dreams... Ganga's blissful world comes crashing down when it is revealed that he is infact living with his foster parents.
