Gaurav (Girish Kumar) is a London based guy who is all set to tie the knot with a dominating girl named Vandana who has been chosen by his elder sisters. Vandana is controlling and Gaurav can hardly stand her. When his friends throw him a bachelor party, as expected Gaurav not only gets drunk but also ends up having a one night stand.

We should have been warned. Any film which subverts a classic song like Aaj phir jeene ki tamannah hai (from Vijay Anand's Guide) into an alcoholic anthem , couldn't be up to any good. Sure enough, Loveshhuda is more about booze than love. With Prohibition around the corner in Bihar, this exasperating mimicry of filmmaking may do well in that state. The leading man and his friends, all of whom need serious tips on tackling tipsiness without tipping over, are constantly binge-ing and boozing and supposedly having fun.

Director Vaibhav Mishra and his team might just want to check into an Alcohol Anonymous programme after chugging down bottles of liquor for their film 'Loveshhuda'. The film features star kid Girish Kumar and marks the debut of former beauty queen Navneet Dhillon. 'Loveshhuda' surely raises the bar high for self-proclaimed drunkards.

Love story is a surefire formula but it is also the most conveniently misused plot in Bollywood. Throw in a boy with complexities with a girl who knows how to live life and you have a romance ready to be sculpted into a film. Even the vice versa is true. Loveshhuda is nothing but old wine in an old bottle or vodka or beer or whatever you can drink up!

Romance has always been the favourite genre of Bollywood and with time, even the movie titles seem to have gone through changes. Move over the term 'shaadishhuda', here comes this week's release LOVESHHUDA that stars Girish Kumar alongwith Navneet Kaur Dhillon.
