Abhishek Bachchan is a homeless vagabound who comes and goes as he pleases across the Indo-Pak border and smuggles people on either side for a fee. On one such journey, he meets and falls in love with a Bangladeshi girl (Kareena Kapoor) whom he had helped cross the border to Pakistan. Running foul of the both Indian and Pakistani officers (Jackie Shroff and Sunil Shetty) he is seperated from her by the border. Jackie reforms him, inducts him into the forces, uses his help to end cross-border smuggling and infileration and facilitates the re-union with his love, Kareena Kapoor.
