Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene is better than I had expected. It actually has a strong, interesting plot. But, unfortunately, it places at the centre of its story the two worst possible non-actors. But, first, the good part. Sharafat Gayi... is set in Delhi where Prithvi Khurana (Zayed Khan) is a simple, lowly paid architect who is in love with Megha (Tena Desai). A more bland couple if you find, I'll forward your name for this year's hathi ki savari on Republic Day.

Prithvi Khurana (Zayed Khan), an architect by profession, is a simple man who leads a boring life with his flat mate Sam (Rannvijay Singh). But things change when Prithvi receives Rs.100 crore in his bank account from none other than underworld don Dawood. Prithvi gets trapped as he has help the don by taking out the money with the help of a bank employee Thandani. Prithvi and Sam decide to comply in return of the commission from Dawood.

A fairly smart script, cast that's easy on the eye and it wouldn't have been so tough to bring out a decent film. But unfortunately, director Gurmmeet Singh falters and what we get is a film that is sometimes perky, but mostly sloven and at times, plain boring.

<strong>This Zayed Khan starrer lacks imagination</strong><br/>The only bright spot in this 'oily' film is Zayed Khan's performance. The guy restricts himself well to play this 'much-in-love' boyfriend, who is sort of hen-pecked. A middle-class man working with an architect, his monthly salary is Rs 25,000. He is now engaged to marry. He is an upright man, who will take no shortcuts to success.

<strong>TOO MUCH SHARAFAT AND NO PLAY</strong><br/>A geeky simpleton (Zayed Khan as Prithwi Khurana) is in for a pleasant shock one day when his bank account miraculously reflects funds worth Rs 100 crore! Before it can sink in, a phone call from Dawood Ibrahim follows. What's the deal with this money? REVIEW: The underworld don claims the money as his, putting Prithwi in the soup. A cat and mouse game ensues between the two. Meanwhile, Prithwi shares this sudden development with his good for nothing roomie Sam (Rannvijay Singh), but decides to keep girlfriend Megha (Tina Desai) out of it.

In a world that is driven by greed, money and selfishness, while the rich manage to live like kings, it's only the middle class and the lower middle class who whip themselves every day to work to earn their hard earned money. And sometimes it becomes very difficult for such people to survive the temptation of a sudden windfall, especially when they are in dire need of the same. This week's release SHARAFAT GAYI TEL LENE also features a similar story. Will its director Gurmmeet Singh manage to capture the real essence of the human mentality and do justice to the same?
