SOUNDTRACK is a Hindi feature film directed by Neerav Ghosh.Story : Rajiv Khandelwal plays the role of Ronak Kaul who is fond of music and spends most of his time in music. It would not be an exaggeration to say that music is his life. His father was also a musician but didn't get success. So he does not want to become a failure. To get success and make his name big in music he lands on the soil of Mumbai from a small town and here he gets chance to become the hottest DJ of Mumbai. He starts living like a rockstar. He composes music in the daytime and serves as a DJ at night. But twist comes into the film when he goes deaf. What would happen to him because without listening he could not move ahead in the field of music? If a musician would lose one leg, no harm would fall upon his music talent and performances but if he loses his hearing power, you can imagine what would happen to him.Initially Ronak takes dip into the ocean of depression which is natural. But after a few months he realizes that this was not the way to live rest of his life. He decides to fight his fate and defeat it by living his life to the fullest. Eventually he learns the art of lip reading from Soha Ali Khan, who was deaf from birth, and brings a revolution in music industry. He becomes and unique talent!Performance : Rajeev Khandelwal has acted well. In fact he has justified his role like any other good actor could have done. Soha Ali Khan is also good in her character and has justified her role. Mohan has also done well.Script : The script, screenplay and dialogues have been written in well manner. At some places it becomes boring but you can bear those scenes due to other effective scenes. But the credit of writing can't be given to its writers because this film is the official remake of the English movie- IT'S ALL GONE PETE TONG OF 2004. Thus it's not a fresh idea of these writers and it's very easy to write what others have written.Direction : The film has been directed by the debutant director Neerav Ghosh whose work would surely impress you. He has filmed some emotional scenes very well.Plus Points : Script; DirectionMinus Points : Small Star Cast; Less promotionConclusion : This is a meaningful cinema with some entertainment also. It's not like a few irritating films such as RASCALS, TERE MERE PHERE, HUM TUM SHABANA etc. which released recently. This film may not attract the masses in theaters but they would surely watch it at any stage.Verdict : A good film. A meaningful film! An inspiring film! You can go for it if you are fed up & are going mad by watching irritating films like TERE MERE PHERE, RASCALS, HUM TUM SHABANA etc. However if you have watched the English movie- IT'S ALL GONE PETE TONG you have to decide whether you have to watch its Hindi version or not!
