What is Uvaa, you wonder? Don't. It's not a mythical word but only 'yuva' misspelt as the correctly-spelt title was already taken. This is a 'boy meets girl' story. Just that the boys and girls are played by 30-year-olds trying to pass for school students. The lead five include Ram, Anil, Vikram, Salmaan and Deenbandhu. Each of them, apart from one, manages to find a corresponding love interest in the new English medium school their guardian Pratap Chaudhary (Om Puri) enrols them into.

One of the tracks in the film, Jiyo Lalla, has a line that goes: 'Lagake taaron mein tadka, chalo maggi banate hain'. Like the now infamous two-minute noodles, the makers seem to have had an instant recipe for a film -- take a social evil as the premise, stir in some real-life incidents, throw in some juveniles and season it with a bunch of assorted characters. The end result is a hard-to-digest khichdi.

Worried about their future, five wayward teens from remote villages in UP are enrolled in an English medium school in Faridabad by their respective families in order to reform them. But can the youngsters adapt to their new posh surroundings? Things further take an ugly turn when the boys get involved in a criminal case.
