Maya (Kajol) is the ideal mother. Her life rotates around her 3 children, Aleya (Aanchal Munjal), Ankush (Nominath Ginsburg), and Anjali (Diya Sonecha), who consider nothing less than the human race of her. Even though she is divorced from her husband, Aman (Arjun Rampal) she has made sure that the whole thing runs smoothly in her home, under her observation, and that they carry on to remain a joyful family unit. However, when Aman brings in his lover, Shreya (Kareena Kapoor) a calling oriented lady, who has a lot to be taught about children, to the family unit, the circumstances straight away, takes an unanticipated turn. When an event changes their lives severely, bringing the 2 lady under the unchanged roof, they find themselves putting to experiment a strange condition; can 2 mothers make a house?
 
Enforced to construct some unconventional choices for her family, Maya must tackle her troubled equation with Shreya and discover a way to bring everyone jointly, regardless of their differences, to make them a family once more.
