Ammir Khan super hit movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (QSQT) brought to the fore an actor representing the youth. The winds of change had affected style, attitudes and thinking of the youth. The young people were tired of the patterns set by their earlier idols. Though the storyline was the jaded rivalry of Thakur parivaars, the freshness and charm exuded by the leading pair drove the cinegoer crazy. Miss India Juhi Chawla also made her debut with this film.The death of the young lovers in the end left a poignant note, which everybody felt as real. Aamir and Juhi were hailed as convincing actors.
