#10YearsOfOmShantiOm: Farah Khan reveals how they cleverly dubbed Deepika’s part!

10 years ago, Om Shanti Om happened and Bollywood was gifted with a gem named Deepika Padukone! Yes, Om Shanti Om was such a filmy movie and it narrates a movie buff’s love for cinema. Director Farah Khan’s film featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika became a huge success. The film also became reminiscent of having an iconic song that created history. The song featured around 31 actors from the film industry including several lead stars.

In a recent interview with Anupama Chopra from Film Companion, Farah Khan revealed interesting and funny details from the film. Farah revealed how the title song was shot and how she would throw up after every two minutes due to pregnancy during Darde Disco shoot and other fun memories. The director revealed that although Deepika was perfect for the role, her diction was a major problem and they actually got it dubbed. 

Also, the interesting bit is Farah wanted to bring Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan together in one frame for the song but, Aamir refused to come, this the director still regrets about. Farah also revealed how interestingly Arjun Rampal was cast in the film just five days prior to the shoot schedule.
