13 major cuts ordered by CBFC for Sanjay Dutt’s Bhoomi leave makers unhappy!

Fans and cine lovers are eagerly awaiting Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film Bhoomi also starring Aditi Rao Hydari in a key role. The film has managed to create enough buzz and is creating a curiosity with interesting updates, song and promo releases. The trailer of the film gave a good glimpse into the storyline and now, the fans know what to expect from this dark thriller. Due to all the violence and dark theme, the film has been ordered 13 major cuts in the film which were crucial to the story.

The CBFC also has ordered a cut on the rape sequence on which the story is based. This has left the makers unhappy and they even argued and explained how crucial it is to the plot. As published in DNA, a close source informed, “The makers argued that the rape sequence is very important to the film. They even cited the example of the recent Sridevi starrer Mom where a rape was at the core of the plot. But the argument did not hold water as in Mom, no rape was shown. In fact, producer Kapoor had removed all the graphic suggestions of sexual violation to make the product more palatable to a family audience.”

The film is a gritty story with dark shades. It also stars actor Sharad Kelkar in an antagonist role. The film Bhoomi is directed by Omung Kumar and it has been scheduled to release on September 22, 2017!
