A former princess from Jaipur’s royal family poses fresh trouble for ‘Padmavati’!
A former princess of a Royal Family, Diya Kumari says that no film should hurt the sentiments of a community by “twisting historical facts”.

After Karni Sena and Sarv Brahmin Mahasabha, now the former princess Diya Kumari, who hails from a royal family of Jaipur, has raised objections against the soon-to-be-released Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s magnum opus ‘ Padmavati ’. Diya Kumari in a statement said that no film should hurt the sentiments of a community by “twisting historical facts”. She said in a statement, “The director of the film ‘ Padmavati ’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali should not wrongly depict the story of Queen Padmavati of Chittor. He should get the facts in the film verified by a forum of historians and then release the film.”
The former princess further added, “Rajputs will not allow any distortion of the valiant history of Rajasthan and sacrifice of its people in fighting barbarians”. Diya Kumari said if the movie does not display authentic history or takes any liberties, it will not be allowed to be released.
The release of ‘ Padmavati ’ is just a couple of days away and the troubles seem to be mounting on the film as well as for Bhansali. After the communal groups, the objection has now been raised by the former princess against the film, what worse the director can expect.
‘ Padmavati ’ starring Deepika Padukone , Shahid Kapoor , and Ranveer Singh is slated to hit the screens on December 1st but these never-ending troubles around the film have definitely alarmed the ears of all the movie buffs.
