Abhishek Kapoor vacants the director\'s seat for \'Rock On!! 2\'

The makers of the 2008 musical drama announced the second edition of the blockbuster to the viewers, who in the first place picked up the franchise anchor upon their shoulders to make it one among the highest grosser of its time.

Eventually, the producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of \'Excel Entertainment\' that remained the producers for the first edition as well, finalized a draft coming from the director-writer Abhishek Kapoor for commencing the sequel, \'Rock On!! 2\'. Merely, all went down pretty smooth and Farhan too was excited to revive the classic that marked his debut as an actor as well as singer.

However, now the ship is seeming to sunk down with Abhishek stepping his foot back from the venture as the director. Abhishek who earlier held the steering of the sail is now taking an excuse from the same stating his prior commitments as a reason behind.

Reason remains the actor-producer Farhan running out on a new mission to hunt for an appropriate replacement to Kapoor, who will justify the flick as similar to the then director in charge. Well on the contrary, Abhishek Kapoor will still remain the part of the franchise merely, as a writer for this time around.
