Actor Barun Sobti bags the Voot Original ‘Karma’
Barun was last seen in the critically-acclaimed film Tu Hai Mera Sunday, which released last year.
Digital is emerging as one of the biggest platforms for consuming online content. There are a lot of influential players who are taking this market very seriously and churning out content, keeping the taste of youngsters in mind. In the last one year or so, many popular names from the world of television have also ventured into this evolving medium and the latest star to do so is Barun Sobti.
Looks like Sobti, who is considered to be one of the most popular faces on Indian television, is on a digital series signing spree. After bagging Ekta Kapoor’s web-show, The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family, the handsome star has now given his nod to headline Voot Original’s upcoming series, titled Karma.
Interestingly, Karma will be a silent series. To be based in Manali, the web-show will stream on Viacom18’s VOOT. Besides Barun Sobti, Shiny Dixit of Zindagi Ki Mehek fame has also been cast to play a pivotal role in it.
Reportedly, the series will be bankrolled under the banner of Mohana Films.
