Actor Varun Dhawan charged a lesser fee for Shoojit Sircar’s October?
Varun Dhawan slashed 50% of his fee for October so that it doesn’t burden the director, says a source.
Known for doing comedy films and masala entertainers, Varun Dhawan has now switched his gears and will be seen in an unconventional love story, October. October is directed by Vicky Donor fame, Shoojit Sircar. While this is the first collaboration between Shoojit and Varun, the actor has shown a very down to earth gesture to the filmmaker. Varun, who usually charges 7-8 crores per film, has reportedly reduced his fee for October. Insiders reveal that the actor has slashed around 50% of his remuneration so that it wouldn’t put a pressure on the filmmaker. Despite the stupendous success of his last films, the actor decided to step down for this film.
A source commented on this decision saying, “In these times of cut-throat competition when it comes to endorsements, remuneration, projects etc. it is decisions like these that make him (Varun) stand out from the rat race and get valued even more.”
Well, the actor has just not only reduced his fees for Sircar but he wants to work with him again and again. That’s right! The actor has loved the director’s craft so much that he is keen to work with him on few more projects. The Badlapur actor also said that all the films of Sircar have a message in it and this film too has a beautiful message. He said, “There is always a message in his films. And this film too had one, which I never knew how to tell people.”
