After a masala blockbuster, Taapsee Pannu returns to serious cinema!

Actress Taapsee Pannu is on a roll! She rose to fame instantly with back to back stellar performances in Baby, Naam Shabana and her career-defining role in Pink. She changed her perception of just taking up serious roles and starred in a commercial masala film like Judwaa 2 which became a blockbuster. The lady has now returned to another serious role in the upcoming film Mulk! Taapsee updated the news to her fans on Twitter and wrote: “Inka naam hai Aarti… Poora naam….. Jald hi pata chalega …Next one Mulk”

BollywoodMDB had updated our readers about Taapsee’s new film Mulk where she plays the daughter-in-law of veteran star Rishi Kapoor. Taapsee and Rishi Kapoor will be collaborating for the first time for director-producer Anubhav Sinha film which is touted to be a thriller. This movie is co-written by Anubhav Sinha and Mushtaq Shiekh. Actress Neena Gupta essays a powerful role in the film.

In a media interaction, Taapsee said: “After a short break of doing a light-hearted film, I am back to doing a movie which will trigger debate and touch hearts. “It’s a social thriller and I am so looking forward to sharing screen space with few of the best actors we have in the industry. It’s a beautiful ensemble and films like these really help me grow as an actor,” she added.
