Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn is on promotion spree of his forthcoming Diwali attraction Shivaay . The actor promoted the film in New York along with his star wife Kajol. As per the report, Ajay Devgn has become the goodwill ambassador of a national organisation, Smile Foundation. The organisation works towards girls education and women empowerment.
As the brand ambassador, Ajay will support women empowerment. Talking about this association, the actor said "Celebrities need to be part of such initiatives because people will listen to them. Only when people get together can things change. The Smile Foundation can only do something up to a point."
The actor admitted that he understands women's perspective very well as he has grown up around women like his mother, sister, aunts. "From my mother, my aunt and my sisters to Kajol, and now my daughter Nysa. I have always understood their point of view. I have maintained that I respect women. They are better than men. That's because women evolve, men don't. When a girl is born, she becomes a daughter, a sister, a sister-in-law, a mother, etc. She keeps moving on. But a man always remains a man," reportedly.
Directed by Ajay Devgn , Shivaay hits the screens on October 28.
