Akshay Kumar shares the cutest pic from the sets of Kesari!
Directed by Anurag Singh, the film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi and it is scheduled to release on Holi next year.
Akshay Kumar, who has two more films releasing this year, has finished shooting for both his upcoming films and now, he is busy with Kesari. The film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi which was fought in 1897. Kesari is a war based movie and Khiladi Kumar is playing the role of Havildar Ishar Singh. The actor is currently shooting in India and shared the cutest pic from the sets, captioning, “Innocent smiles galore on set today. Shooting with these lovely children playing Afghani kids in #Kesari based on the Battle Of Saragarhi, one of the bravest battles fought in India.” Have a look.
As Kesari is Akshay’s first war film, he is excited about the project but wants to keep experimenting with different kind of roles. In an early interview, the actor had said, “It is not that I will do only this kind of film. I am doing a war film called Kesari, it is for the first time that I am doing a war film, and it is new for me. So I am very excited about it."
Apart from Akshay, the film also stars Parineeti Chopra as his wife and it is reported that Pawan Malhotra and Rana Ranbir will also have a significant role in it. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and helmed by Punjabi director, Anurag Singh, Kesari is scheduled to release on the occasion of Holi next year.
