Akshay Kumar to feature in south superstar Ajith’s Veeram remake!

Akshay Kumar who recently Bollywood yet another hit with Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, has a number of films in his kitty. The actor is presently shooting for Reema Kagti’s Gold which is a sports drama revolving around our national game hockey. The actor will also be seen in his wife’s Twinkle Khanna’s first production venture PadMan. Apart from that Akshay will be soon starting the promotions of his biggie with Rajinikanth 2.0. The latest update claims that Akshay has been roped in for a new film which will be a remake of the Tamil film Veeram.

The upcoming film is said to be directed by Sajid-Farhad. It has been tentatively titled Land of Lungi (LOL). The original film starred south superstar Ajith and made a good business at the box-office. It is touted to be a comedy drama where Akshay will sport lungi most of the time. Set at the backdrop of a village, i.e. a rural setup, the movie is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Sources from a leading daily revealed, "Akshay is very comfortable with Farhad’s brand of humour. As for Akshay and Sajid, this will be their ninth film together. They make a great team and are good friends, too. The original film had done good business, and looking at the combination that has come together for the remake, this seems like a safe bet."
