Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra to start promotions of Kapoor & Sons after March 3

The young talents Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra will once again team up for their upcoming much-talked about Kapoor & Sons . They debuted in the film Student Of The Year and they are rumoured to be in a relationship.

Alia and Siddharth will reportedly commence promoting Kapoor & Sons after March 3 that is 15 days prior to the release of the flick. Siddharth is presently filming for the film Baar Baar Dekho and Alia is busy shooting for Gauri Shinde's next opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Goa.

The producer Karan Johar feels promoting a film seems like begging rather than marketing a film. During trailer launch of the film Kapoor & Sons , Karan said "We are not supposed to promote the film for two months as I feel it is not required. Today we are trying to reach everywhere. It feels as if we are begging more and marketing less. I feel in five weeks also we will get support from media. At a time when filmmakers are seen promoting their films on various platform from daily soaps to reality shows on television to visiting malls and colleges and getting associated with brands, the 43-year-old helmer feels it is not the right way to promote a movie. There is a five-six week window that is where you (filmmakers) can maximise your expense and create maximum impact.”

Johar further added that "It's new way forward. I think, to listen to only one film for a long time leads to exhaustion. When there is five-six weeks window it keeps the film alive and fresh,"

Directed by Shakun Batra , the film Kapoor & Sons also stars Fawad Khan and releases on April 18.
