Alia Bhatt shot a song with the real-life Hockey players for the film Udta Punjab.

The young actress Alia Bhatt portrays a Bihari migrant with a dream of becoming a Hockey player in upcoming film Udta Punjab . Going by the report, Alia Bhatt recently shot with the real-life Hockey players for a song this flick. The actress filmed with multiple Hockey players across from different colleges across Mumbai including Somaiya, St Andrews, Jhunjhunwala college, SNDT and Ambedkar college in the outskirts of the city.

While in school, Alia was more into handball and football. Alia said "The girls were cool, tough and inspiring. There was so much that I learnt from them about the sport. It was a fun shoot as we clicked a few selfies," She further added, "Since I began practising I have realised that I Hockey is a difficult sport and requires a lot of skills."

Alia was trained in Hockey for a month-and-a-half early last year prior to the starting of shooting for the movie in Punjab. The aim of training was to get the posture right, to control the ball and learn to hold the stick. She said "I was given a coach and we trained at a place in Bandra. I would reach at around 6 am."

Udta Punjab also stars Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles. The film releases on June 17.
