Amitabh Bachchan appeals to save Bijlee

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan expressed his concern and also offered help to an ailing elephant near a Mulund-based hospital.

The megastar of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan is these days concerned about an important issue in the town. Reportedly, Big B made an appeal to the animal lovers and authorities for saving an ailing elephant named Bijlee near a Mulund-based hospital. Bijlee is reportedly a 58-year old female elephant.

Amitabh Bachchan posted a tweet regarding the same matter. In his next tweet, he explained that an NGO called Animals Matter To Me (AMTM) is taking proper care of Bijlee including providing her food. However, Bijlee needs to be treated in a hospital and hence there is requirement of authority assistance.

Bachchan senior has also appealed to all compassionate animal lovers to lend a support to Bijlee after helping Bijlee from his side. Moreover, on his personal blog, Amitabh even posted the photos of Bijlee along with the mention of NGO details, so that one can contribute easily in this noble purpose. Big B revealed that he does not like to take help of social media to make an appeal, but this is very unfortunate incident that a besieged elephant is laying in the middle of road in very distraught state. Amitabh thinks very optimistically about this female elephant saying she will endure and flourish.
