Time is the witness of Amitabh Bachchan 's contribution in diminishing Polio from India and now the government hopes for similar action to eradicate Tuberculosis with his support.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and state government of Maharashtra has announced Sr. Bachchan as the brand ambassador of their Anti-Tuberculosis campaign. Extending his support, the actor also revealed that even he was detected with TB in the year 2000, while he was shooting for Kaun Banega Crorepati. If it could happen to him, then it can happen to anyone. He found his cure in healthy diet and living in the cleaned environment along with the complete course of medication. This is how he marked his victory over TB.

The "TB Harega, Desh Jeetega" campaign is a series of multimedia content to broadcast the key message of TB prevention and control through TV commercials, radio, print, outdoor media and social-media. In these newly launched TV advertisements, Big B plays a restaurant manager and taxi driver, while he voices the radio jingle being himself.
