Amitabh Bachchan commences HRB Memorial Trust

The veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan holds the prestige not only for his outstanding acting career but also for the amount of social initiatives he takes up. Recently, the ace actor gave a voice-over to a documentary filmed on the brave soldiers, who helped Uttarakhand flood victims and Bachchan also assisted in organizing funds for the flood relief. And now, the actor is launching a charity organization, HRB Memorial Trust, named after his late father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan . Big B also revealed the wish to start an institution in near future that will be dedicated to his father's valuable work.

Bachchan senior posted on a micro-blogging site, "For long we have been wanting to open a Trust a Memorial in the name of my revered Father Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan .. and after years of waiting and proper paper work to be established, we have it functional now. It is called Harivansh Rai Bachchan Memorial Trust, or HRB Memorial Trust .. and in future we shall be conducting activities, through our own initiative and participation to collect funds for the needy. Our works through the years have been functional for the Rehabilitation of the Handicapped, or to be politically correct, the differently abled, blood banks, cancer, thalasemia, feeding the poor, feeding children in schools, sponsoring a child's education, taking care of farmers loans in Andhra and Vidarbha to prevent them from suicide because they were unable to pay their loans ... and on ..Come let us work independently to better the lives of others ..".

This noble effort of Bachchan Sir must be truly appreciated, as he is lending the helping hand to the needy in the times of crisis. And naming the trust after his father's name, makes him deserve a huge gratitude, with an overwhelming respect.
