Amitabh Bachchan inaugurates paedriatric wing of Tata Memorial Hospital

The iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan inaugurated paediatric wing of Mumbai-based Tata Memorial Hospital for Cancer. The inauguration took place on September 3.

Everyone knows that the superstar Amitabh Bachchan does not lag behind, when it comes to powering a social cause and help the needy people. As per the reports, Amitabh Bachchan inaugurated paediatric wing for children at Tata Memorial Hospital for Cancer. It has been a very touching experience, as he said.

Bachchan senior attended the inauguration programme on September 3 in Mumbai. The 70-years old megastar posted on his personal blog, "Today, after the recording I rushed to the Tata Memorial Hospital for Cancer for the opening of a paediatric wing for little children that unfortunately suffer ... it was a most touching and moving experience for me".

On seeing the suffering kids, Bachchan sir could not stop his tears and he expressed the wish to something more for these children. He also admitted that his wife Jaya and himself are working along with several such institutions, but whenever you visit these children, you cannot stop yourself from crying. These children just wanted to share some happy moments with him, to have his autograph, photograph and that's all, said Mr. Bachchan. One definitely intends to do something more for these children and we will certainly do it, affirmed the versatile actor.

Recently, Amitabh Bachchan also made an announcement regarding the opening of HRB Memorial Trust. It is the trust named after his revered father, Mr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan . This organization will serve the common people suffering from various disorders and it will be working towards charity.
