Amitabh Bachchan meets Robert Di Niro

The "mahanayak" of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan recently attended the third edition of the annual event 'THiNK 2013' arranged in Goa. Apparently, Bachchan senior was specially invited at the festival for expressing his thoughts and ideas.

A thing at the event made Big B run short of words and that was Amitabh's meeting with Hollywood stalwart Robert Di Niro. Mr. Bachchan was overwhelmed to meet the Hollywood star and took Twitter to share the experience. He wrote "Just finished my conversation at THINK..exciting and exhilarating .. and in the audience Mr Robert DiNero !! (Stumped for words !) (sic)." The superstar Bachchan elaborated the feeling by saying that "It is the THINK Fest that brings me here (Goa) on invitation. An annual event which brings together many of the trusted and the learned, to share, to express their ideas and thoughts with those that travel from across the globe as audiences, including tonight at my discourse a certain Mr D'Niro of such universal fame that it was a moment of immense pride to find him seated before me ..."

Further, Big B added that "A relaxed Robert D'Niro of so many distinguished films and characters that he played in his illustrious career, and still continues to do so, simple and down to earth, accommodating and friendly ... a joy and honor to meet him and spend some time with him privately ...," One more tweet by Bachchan said that "There are many from the fraternity that attend too and it is then that we spend time later in happy banter with local dear friends .. to laugh to discuss, to sing and listen to sonorous thoughts in poetry and verse of both languages ... One desires more time ... here ... to just be by the self ..." The megastar concluded by mentioning that "Remo, that most talented son of the soil, entertains us on stage later among a rambunctious crowd of people who seek to be pictured for posterity in framed photographs ... the enthusiasm is infectious and many get carried away, as do the organizers who hastily bundle me off to cooler and calmer climes .. into resting room and bed ...,"
