Amitabh Bachchan to be honored with 'Global Diversity Award'

September 11 is quite special for the "Mahanayak of Bollywood", Mr. Amitabh Bachchan , as he is being awarded with yet another prestigious award from the Government of India. Amitabh Bachchan , who is having over 180 films to his credit till now, has been awarded with several awards and trophies in his lifetime for his special contribution to cinema.

So special is his next achievement, getting felicitated with the 'Global Diversity Award' by the Indian Government and that too at yet another honorable venue, The Parliament of India. Reportedly, Amitabh has confirmed the news or rather disclosed the news on his social networking site stating the details about the award ceremony that is scheduled for September 11. The star further stated his excitement of meeting the speaker of the Parliament along with his to-be-journey in the most secure and private chambers of the prestigious structure.

This is not the first time that Mr. Bachchan is being felicitated with Government appraisal. He was primarily awarded with 'Padma Shri' in the year 1984 and then later with 'Padma Bhushan' in 2001. The actor is merely well felicitated on the international platform as well with recognition as the 'Knight of the Legion of Honour' by the French government in the year 2007.

Apart from this, Bachchan senior is well crafted in the form of wax statues that are located worldwide from London to New York and Hong Kong as well, as a mark of honor for his amazing contribution to the art of acting. Now, that is what showcases the reason behind calling him as the "Mahanayak of Bollywood".
