Amitabh Bachchan to spread light across rural India
On his 71st Birthday, Amitabh Bachchan announced a noble cause initiated by HRB Trust and Urja Foundation, which is to provide electricity to the deprived homes of rural India.

"A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle, indeed spreads happiness full of hopes". These words rightly denote the noble cause initiated by the megastar, Amitabh Bachchan . On the grand occasion of his 71st Birthday, Big B announced a charitable campaign proposed by Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Urja Foundation to provide electricity to the deprived homes of rural India.
The initiated noble cause aims to spread the light to around 3000 houses all across India, with the objective to provide feasible and sustainable renewable energy solution of solar home lightening system for the inclusive growth. The movement is supported by the United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan (UNIC) and by Blue Dart as the official supply partner, to ensure the safe delivery of Solar systems across India.
The prospering India has its majority population living in rural areas, where there are houses striving in the darken nights, while here comes the saviour, Amitabh Bachchan who will gift the basic necessity to these underprivileged country-men. As Big B is fortunate enough with the ample amount of wealth, he might hardly lose anything big en-cashing this cause, but he will surely gain lot of blessings and respect from the deprived people.
