Ankita Lokhande to make a powerful debut in Manikarnika with Kangana Ranaut!

Popular TV actress Ankita Lokhande who made news for her fallout with longtime live-in boyfriend-actor Sushant Singh Rajput is all set for her big Bollywood debut! And, it is with none other than Kangana Ranaut in the much talked about film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi . Ankita who was approached for the part by producer Kamal Jain, will start shooting for the film in August and has already started prepping for her role which is a strong supporting character of Jalkaribai.

Jhalkarbai was a courageous and brave woman who was the prominent advisor of the queen. She has even disguised herself as the queen in order to save the real Queen of Jhansi from attacks of the enemies. She is considered as one of the bravest warriors in the history of Bundelkhand. Hence, this role requires a lot of preparations and Ankita is gearing up and working hard on it.

Ankita confirmed the news to a leading tabloid and said, “I’d never heard of her before, not many have, but Jhalkaribai was one of the greatest heroes of our proud history. I’m honored that I’ll be telling her story to the world, fighting alongside Kangana’s Rani Laxmibai.”

The actress spoke about her training with Nick Powell who is teaching her sword fighting. She said, “Since then, he has taken me by the hand and shown me how to fight. He treats me like a kid and makes the training so entertaining. I’m indebted to Kamal sir for this challenging role in a big-budget film scripted by Baahubali writer KV Vijayendra Prasad alongside a National Award-winning actress like Kangana, who exudes power and is an inspiration to all women. I’m looking forward to learning from her once we start shooting in August.”

Ankita Lokhande rose to fame thanks to the popular TV Show Pavitra Rishta by Ekta Kapoor which also starred Sushant Singh Rajput initially. The film Manikarnika was recently caught up in a controversy. If things sail well, it will be interesting to watch two talented actresses come together for such a powerful film.
