Apoorva Lakhia updates the delay of Haseena Parkar with a promise!

Shraddha Kapoor ’s much-awaited film Haseena Parkar , which is being termed as the role of her career, is postponed. The director Apoorva Lakhia took to social media and updated the news to the fans and followers. The trailer and the posters have generated a lot of buzz and curiosity amongst the audience but it seems the cine lovers will have to wait for some more time. The film was scheduled to release on August 18 and the new official release date is yet to be announced.

Haseena Parkar is a biopic based on the life of Haseena, the sister of the infamous don Dawood Ibrahim. She managed his entire underworld business in Mumbai. The movie also stars Siddhanth Kapoor , Rajesh Tailang, Satendra Bagasi, Ankur Bhatia and Charanpreet Singh. The director informed about the film delay on twitter. He wrote: “Our film #HaseenaParkar has been postponed and will announce the official release date soon. I promise, your wait will be worth it.” The director promised that the film will be worth all the wait!

Haseena Parkar has been delayed three times prior to this. Talking about the same, the director Lakhia said in a statement, “There is no point in trying to get into the current clutter of releases. We all can see what is happening to all the films that are coming out. If we came on 18 August we would have Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal and Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Katha behind us. Akshay’s film has tax exemption. Why should we do something as suicidal as to release our film at a time when the competition is not only tough but it is impossible to cope with?”
