From past few years, B-Town has always glorified the notorious gangsters by designing a biopic on their lives. Some of them include Haji Mastaan, Dawood Ibrahim, Varadajaran and Manya Surve. And now, one more biopic is on the horizon based on life of a don in the city, Arun Gawli.

This time Bollywood's attention has been caught by an idea to create a biopic on Arun Gawli's life. Gawli is presently serving life sentence in a murder case. And the one, who will be making this biopic, is the director Gaurav Bavdankar. Arun Gawli's daughter Geeta had given a green signal for this biopic and the movie will unfold Gawli's life events, thereby revealing how he turned a gangster. As per the buzz, Gawli is writing down his autobiography, which can also prove to be a great source of information for the film. The director Bavdankar confirmed the news by saying that they have an agreement signed by the Gawli family and for the next three years, the rights are with them. He also added that the film may go on floors in next April and Nawazuddin Siddiqui might be seen as the protagonist.

Gawli's daughter Geeta expressed her views by revealing that Gaurav Bavdankar is their family friend and the first-hand information has been provided to him. Now, the wait is to see the final outcome, said Geeta.
