Actor Sidharth Malhotra, who made his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s hit film, Student Of The Year, is not going through a great period, professionally. All his recent releases, be it Baar Baar Dekho, A Gentleman or Ittefaq, for that matter, have performed poorly at the box office and hence many moviemakers have started avoiding the young actor in their films. The latest we hear that the makers of a forthcoming comedy film have replaced Sidharth with Ayushmann Khurrana.
“Sidharth Malhotra’s disastrous run at the box office with Baar Baar Dekho and A Gentleman had put the makers of the film in doubt of his capability to attract audiences. The underwhelming opening and weekend run of Ittefaq was the final nail of the coffin and the team decided to replace Sidharth with Ayushmann Khurrana. Over time, Ayushmann has acquired an audience base in the genre of comedy and is currently considered a more bankable star than Sidharth by film producers,” says a report published in one of the leading entertainment portals.
Aiyaary, directed by hit filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, will be the next release of Sidharth Malhotra. We wish the film does well at the box office and helps the actor cement his position in the industry as a bankable star.
