Blockbuster biopic, ' Bhaag Milkha Bhaag ' ran miles at the box-office. And, it is now ready to get steady in the international market. The phenomenal director of the film, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has decided to cut short the film by thirty minutes for its international release.

Each and every scene is related to each other and contributes in heading the story further, even the songs are narrative elements. Therefore, it was herculean job for director Mehra and film-editor PS Bharthi to scissor the scenes in movie.

Director said that they didn't forced cuts in the narration, but decided to reduce the film to make it in a non-interval format. The film was blocked in global release because of its inordinate length of 3 hour and 10 minutes. The makers axed the individual shots and reduced verbal exchange wherever possible. This resulted in trimming it by thirty minutes. As the film is up for its international release, so they made it as per the west procedure of not breaking the film in two intervals.

In India, the 'Flying Sikh' Farhan Akhtar was appreciated for his absolutely mesmerizing performance and proved to be box-office hit with earning Rs. 55 Cr in its first week of release.
