Bollywood Prays For Departed Soul of the 1st Superstar of Hindi Cinema Rajesh Khanna

The fourth day (chautha) of mourning for Rajesh Khanna was held at Taj Lands End in suburban Bandra. The prayer meeting was organized in a grand way, which was attended by Rajesh Khanna's family members, including his estranged wife Dimple Kapadia as well as various celebrities of the Hindi film industry.

The fourth day (chautha) of mourning for Rajesh Khanna was held at Taj Lands End in suburban Bandra. The prayer meeting was organized in a grand way, which was attended by Rajesh Khanna's family members, including his estranged wife Dimple Kapadia as well as various celebrities of the Hindi film industry.

Apart from Dimple Kapadia, Rajesh Khanna's two daughters Twinkle and Rinke, sons-in-law Akshay Kumar and Sameer Saran and first grandson Aarav, and a large number of celebrities also attended the prayer meeting.

As a mark of peace for the actor's departed soul, almost all the guests were dressed in white. A huge black-and-white photograph of late Rajesh Khanna, decorated with white flowers, was set up at the entrance of the hall at the venue. The entire background was also white.

Celebrities who turned up for the meet include megastar Amitabh Bachchan with wife Jaya, Yash Chopra, Abbas-Mustan, Ramesh Sippy, Vinod Khanna, Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik Roshan with wife Susanne Roshan, Jeetendra, Aamir Khan, Randhir Kapoor, and Rishi Kapoor with wife Neetu Singh.

Gulzar, Anupam Kher with wife Kirron Kher, Tabu, Sonakshi Sinha, Deepika Padukone, Suniel Shetty, Satish Kaushik, David Dhawan, Prakash Jha, Poonam Dhillon along with several other celebs also attended the prayer meeting.

The veteran actor Shashi Kapoor also turned up for the meet on a wheelchair and was seen being accompanied by Ranbir Kapoor.

Politician Amar Singh, actor-politician Jayaprada, and few other politicians too turned up.

At the age of 69, Rajesh Khanna passed away on July 18 at his residence following a prolonged illness and liver infection.
