According to our reliable sources, television czarina Ekta Kapoor is all set to launch a new period drama on her video on Demand platform, ALTBalaji. The yet-to-be-titled show will be based on the life of Mughal Emperor Jahangir's last wife, Mehr-un-Nissa, also known as Nur Jahan. And to play the titular role, Ekta has roped in her favourite, Mouni Roy.
Roy, who started her television career with Balaji Telefilms' Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, has been a part of many ventures produced by Ekta.
